Loader/Wood Grinder Operator

This is an exciting opportunity to join an exceptional company as a Loader/Wood Grinder Operator at Environmental Wood Supply in St. Paul, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for operation of wheel loader and wood grinder including maintenance of machinery
  • Process inventory, load biomass onto tractor trailers using a wheel loader.
  • Inspect material to ensure that unacceptable material is not accepted.
  • At times, direct customer to proper dumping site.
  • Deal with public in a positive manner.
  • Ability to open and close site for operation, secure area at appropriate times.
  • Operation of computer program for daily time log.
  • Has the ability to work with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years minimum related duties and responsibility highly desirable
  • 3 years minimum experience in the operation of heavy equipment, particularly wheel loaders, skid steer loaders and wood grinders and dump trucks highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of wheel loaders and wood grinders

SKILLS:

  • Ability to operate machinery skillfully in a safe and responsible manner
  • Practical decision making ability
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Must be dependable, flexible and have sound work ethic

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Exposure to outside elements: extreme heat & extreme cold

distribution services technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join an exceptional company as a Distribution Services Technician located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role is responsible for providing technical services support for the construction, operation, and maintenance of distribution piping and communication systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of preventative maintenance programs
  • Material and equipment inventory control
  • Chilled Water Piping Corrosion Protection System
  • Hot Water Piping Moisture Detection System Program
  • Customer communications, connection startups, and maintenance requirements
  • Construction project records

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency with Excel, Word and Project Programs
  • Working knowledge of Maximo is a plus

The preferred background for this position includes work within utility system management, piping systems, and other areas related to energy systems technology and technical services.  An understanding of construction drawings and specifications is preferred.

senior project manager

Ever-Green Energy is a recognized leader in energy conservation and the use of renewable energy. Our mission is to develop, own and operate efficient energy systems that benefit our customers, communities and the environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join an exceptional company as a Senior Energy Project Manager located in St. Paul, MN. Reporting to the Senior VP, Project Development this position leads the development of a wide range of energy projects for existing energy facilities and new energy system developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the successful execution of all aspects of energy projects in order to meet corporate goals for safety, quality, budget and schedule, in accordance with corporate values.
  • Ensure project goals are achieved with regard to development, permitting, design, procurement, community relations, government relations, sales, marketing, construction, or any other relevant aspects of the project.
  • Work with the SVP, Project Development to develop and implement the strategic plan required for successful completion of each identified project.
  • Perform studies, analyses, design, implementation and engineering management activities for new and existing district heating and cooling production and distribution facilities, including combined heat and power and thermal storage.  Projects include upgrades, modifications, retrofits, performance improvements, and replacements.
  • Perform studies, analyses and design oversight for customer building HVAC interconnections to district energy systems.   Provide technical assistance to customers to troubleshoot performance issues, and improve energy efficiency.  Develop written reports as may be required by customers.
  • Lead or assist with preparing proposals and presentations to existing customers and potential clients as part of obtaining new business.  
  • Perform certain project development and management functions as may be needed and identified on specific project assignments.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program and currently eligible for employment in the United States.   
  • Registered professional engineer preferred. 
  • Ten years of relevant experience and demonstrated success with energy projects
  • Five years of experience supervising project staff
  • Strong engineering skills
  • Solid working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
  • Ability to perform financial and mathematical analysis
  • Ability to develop, read, and understands contracts
  • Ability to use and understand project management and scheduling software
