EarthWeek 2008
Ever-Green Energy affiliate, District Energy St. Paul, was the primary sponsor of EarthWeek activities in downtown Saint Paul in April 2008. Organized by the CapitolRiver Council, EarthWeek events educate and increase awareness of environmental issues relating to downtown residents, workers, businesses and property owners.
A portion of the downtown Saint Paul skyway system was filled with displays and presentations during the Skyway Fair. The downtown neighborhood was beautified through community participation in the Adopt-A-Block cleanup of streets, sidewalks and parks. Adopt-A-Block volunteers met at Ecolab prior to the clean-up to learn more about Saint Paul’s environmental initiatives from Anne Hunt (City of Saint Paul), Steve Christenson (Ecolab) and Joyce Anderson (Ever-Green Energy). The week’s events concluded with a volunteer wrap-up party at the Hat Trick Lounge.
