The living green expo
Ten employees took turns staffing the District Energy exhibit booth at the 2009 Living Green Expo held May 2-3, 2009, at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. This was the eighth year of the expo and again attracted about 25,000 people. Employees enjoyed meeting attendees; providing information about our environmentally friendly, renewable energy services; and distributing zinnia flower seed packets.
The Living Green Expo features more than 270 exhibitors showcasing environmentally sound products, service and practices; more than 60 workshops on a variety of topics ranging from backyard composting to hybrid vehicle technology; performances by musicians; fun, free activities for the kids; and an opportunity to sample locally-grown food.
