May 4, 2010 - Minneapolis, MN
Jeff Guillemette, Biomass Fuel Procurement Supervisor, hosted a tour of the Environmental Wood Supply (EWS) woodyard for 110 people as part of the 2010 BBI Biomass International Conference on May 4. The annual conference brings people from all over the world together for presentations, discussion, exhibits and demonstration of all things related to biomass. The EWS woodyard drew a lot of interest from the conference participants.

Michael Burns, Vice President of Production Operations, presented "Bioenergy: What's Old is New Again" at this conference which targeted a variety of natural resource professionals whose major objectives were to provide awareness and knowledge of biomass harvesting to stakeholders, as well as decision-making information needed to determine economic feasibility to use biomass for energy.

Guests of the Minnesota International Center’s International Visitor Leadership Program visited District Energy to discuss how our company is a model of energy efficiency, diversity and affordability. The guests included five international visitors from Germany and two interpreters who are examining how clean energy initiatives can have a positive effect on climate change. U.S. ambassadors have rated the International Visitor Leadership Program the most useful public diplomacy tool of all State Department programs.

May 2 , 2008 - Ever-Green Energy
Dan Beard, Chief Administrative Officer of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Congresswoman Betty McCollum visited Ever-Green Energy and toured our renewable energy facilities. Mr. Beard is responsible for “greening” the United States Capitol building and adjacent public buildings. The group was very interested in the renewable energy initiatives we have put in place in downtown Saint Paul.

Kenneth Smith, Senior Vice President, presented "Alternative Energy Solutions" at the 2008 Production-Technical Seminar. The two seminar sessions were followed by concurrent roundtables. The seminar also featured a Technology Information Center where vendors showcased their products and services.

March 4-6, 2008 - Washington D.C.
Anders Rydaker, President and Kenneth Smith, Senior Vice President, attended this conference which attracted more than 7,000 participants from around the world. The International District Energy Association presented a side event promoting district energy as a tool to implement renewable energy on a large scale. Anders made a presentation about how to practically implement renewables and energy conservation. He also participated in a panel discussion.
