In the summer 2008 Issue ...President's Message — District Energy celebrates 25 years of being ahead of the curve in the United States in terms of using renewable energy and energy conservation. District Energy Celebrates 25 Years of Service — A group of 160 people gathered at the Science Museum of Minnesota on June 11 to share in the festivities to commemorate and celebrate the accomplishments of District Energy's 25 years in downtown Saint Paul. District Energy Presents Its Most Prestigious Award at the Millard Fillmore Dinner — Former Mayor George Latimer was honored with an award at the 14th Annual Millard Fillmore Dinner where District Energy was the 2008 presenting sponsor. 25 Trees Donated to the Jimmy Lee Recreation Center — In recognition of its 25th anniversary, District Energy donated 25 trees to Trees Saint Paul to be planted at the new Jimmy Lee Recreation Center. Recognition for 25-Year Employees — Six employees were recognized and honored at the 25th Anniversary celebration for their 25 years of service. District Energy Honors Two Visionaries — George Latimer and William Mahlum were honored for their vision and foresight in helping to found District Energy in 1979. Companies Launch Two New Web Sites — District Energy and Ever-Green Energy Web sites have both received a complete makeover and are up and running with a "new look." |
