25 trees donated to the jimmy lee recreation center

May 7, 2008 — Ever-Green Energy affiliate, District Energy St. Paul, donated 25 evergreen trees to Trees Saint Paul in recognition of its 25th anniversary this year and its use of wood waste as its primary fuel to heat and cool downtown Saint Paul buildings.

June 20, 2007 — Anders Rydaker, president of District Energy St. Paul, received the International District Energy Association's prestigious Norman R. Taylor Award during ceremonies yesterday at the organization's 98th Annual Conference & Trade Show in Scottsdale, Ariz. The award is the highest distinction IDEA can confer on an individual as 'person of the year,' recognizing that person's career achievements and contributions to the association and the district energy and combined heat and power industries.

District Energy St. Paul to Receive Award for "Green Energy" Program

September 19, 2006 — District Energy St. Paul has been named the winner of the 3rd Annual Inspiring Efficiency innovation Award for its "Green Energy" program. The award will be presented by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) at MEEA's annual "Solutions" Conference, September 27-28 in Chicago. A large part of District Energy's "Green Energy" program is the innovative combined heat and power facility.

Combined Heat and Power Plant Begins Operations

May 6, 2003 — Officials at St. Paul Cogeneration, LLC today announced that its combined heat and power plant is now in full operation providing electricity to Xcel Energy and hot water to District Energy. The new biomass plant, under construction since September 2001, has been operating in test mode since mid-February in preparation for permanent operations.
