emily smith awarded ashrae certification

April 15, 2011 —Ever-Green Energy is pleased to announce that Senior Mechanical Engineer Emily Smith has earned the Building Energy Assessment Professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. The ASHRAE certification affirms her ability to audit and analyze residential, commercial, and industrial buildings including determining project scope, collecting data, analyzing building performance, interpreting results, evaluating alternatives, submitting recommendations for energy conservation measures, and assisting with the implementation of these recommendations.

June 15 , 2010 —The International District Energy Association presented its System of the Year Award to District Energy St. Paul June 15 during ceremonies at the association's 101st Annual Conference & Trade Show in Indianapolis, Indiana. District Energy St. Paul is only the second system to win the award twice. The company also received IDEA's System of the Year in 1993, the first year the award was presented.

September 19, 2006 — District Energy St. Paul has been named the winner of the 3rd Annual Inspiring Efficiency innovation Award for its "Green Energy" program. The award will be presented by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) at MEEA's annual "Solutions" Conference, September 27-28 in Chicago. A large part of District Energy's "Green Energy" program is the innovative combined heat and power facility.

Combined Heat and Power Plant Begins Operations

May 6, 2003 — Officials at St. Paul Cogeneration, LLC today announced that its combined heat and power plant is now in full operation providing electricity to Xcel Energy and hot water to District Energy. The new biomass plant, under construction since September 2001, has been operating in test mode since mid-February in preparation for permanent operations.
