Ever-Green has found success because of the talent, innovation, and creativity of our diverse staff. The team behind our energy projects has been built on Ever-Green’s core values: delivery of exceptional service, operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and integrity in all we do.

As an Affirmative Action employer, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all applicants and employees. Beyond our compliance obligations, Ever-Green is focused on continuing to diversify our workforce through extensive outreach and partnerships with community-based organizations, colleges and technical schools, and our union partners. Through these partnerships, we have been able to reach or exceed our hiring goals.

Recognizing that our industry continues to grow and evolve with new technologies and services, we place a premium on diverse talent and innovation, resulting in a 92% retention rate. Ensuring our team members feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work is key to our retention success. Our robust onboarding process begins before the employee’s start date to ensure they feel welcomed before they step through the door. The process continues with providing the new employee the opportunity to meet with several of their fellow team members, including senior leadership, within their first few weeks to help fully integrate them into their role, their department, and the company.

Embracing the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, support of DEI efforts was added to the responsibilities in all job descriptions, and DEI questions were added to our bi-annual employee survey. Ever-Green provides training opportunities to strengthen partnerships within the organization, build cross-cultural competency, and cultivate inclusive behaviors and practices. In addition, Ever-Green strives to continue improving and offering more inclusive and family-friendly employee benefits, and added a floating holiday for employees to use on a day or holiday that is meaningful to them.

In support of the communities we serve, we look for ways to create supply chain relationships with businesses owned by women and people of color. Ever-Green also has a strong commitment to those who have served our country. In 2019, 2020, and 2021, Ever-Green received a Gold Medallion Award from the US Department of Labor’s HireVets program, the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development.

Ever-Green Energy conducts a bi-annual Employee Survey to get candid feedback on important issues to help identify areas for improvement and also those areas where we can celebrate our successes. We utilize a third-party vendor to administer the survey and provide suggestions for action planning. Our employee engagement scores have risen every year, and we’re proud that our 2021 Employee Survey had a 91% response rate. One of the top-ranking items in our employee surveys is “I take pride in my work.”  This pride manifests in a diverse and complex talent base, which has led us to where we are today: a leader in our industry.
