The County-owned energy system serves vital local government operations including health care, safety and justice, as well as other government services on the east side of downtown Minneapolis. Hennepin County Energy Center serves the Hennepin County Medical Center, which includes a nationally-recognized Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center.

Ever-Green’s Role
On January 1, 2025, Ever-Green assumed operations, maintenance, and management responsibilities, onboarding 13 new team members through the process. Additionally, Ever-Green collaborates with the County in an on-going study of long-term goals on carbon neutrality and increasing reliability.
