In June, the world is coming to Saint Paul to talk about energy, and we want you to join!

Overview of conference
The International District Energy Association (IDEA) is coming to Saint Paul, Minnesota, this June to discuss the future of our energy systems and how they will serve our urban centers, higher education, corporate, and health care campuses. This year’s theme, Embracing Change, provides a platform to explore emerging technologies, innovative policies, and connect with global leaders advancing a new energy paradigm for cities, communities, and campuses.

Opportunity
Ever-Green Energy and IDEA would like to invite local students from colleges, universities, and vocational schools to participate in the conference. Forty passes will be made available for students to attend sessions starting on Tuesday, June 21, at 1:30 PM, through Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 PM.

If chosen to be a student attendee you will have the opportunity to connect with a large variety of people, including business leaders, civic leaders, city planners, government officials, people who manage large energy systems, engineers, and architects from the United States and over two dozen additional countries.

You will have the chance to meet Minnesota companies who are leading the way in this industry, such as HGA, Ecolab, Honeywell, 3M, Johnson Controls and many more. There will also be a student poster showcase where you can see what fellow students have been working on and get inspired for your next project!

You will be able to attend professional workshops and presentations, where you can learn about campus system revitalization, design, implementation and optimization, energy storage, renewables and fuel switching opportunities, energy and utility planning, district energy system design and innovation.

All student attendees will be able to take a tour of the Saint Paul combined heat and power plant and solar installation. These tours will be scheduled after students have been selected!

Engagement Tuesday, June 21st, 4:00-8:30 PM
If not chosen as a student attendee, we encourage you to participate in the student and community engagement portion of the conference. Ever-Green Energy is working with IDEA and local industry partners to present an evening to interact with fellow students, industry representatives, future employers, and the community. Below are the activities planned for the evening, which are free and open to the public:
