The demand for data centers worldwide is growing every day. This presents a unique and advantageous partnership opportunity between the data center and district energy industries.
Every kilowatt-hour of electricity that enters a data center will exit as heat. Luke Gaalswyk and Michael Ahern of the Ever-Green team share that funneling waste heat from data centers into district energy systems allows for this heat to be utilized as much as possible—and is far more efficient than a single heat pump. Data center heat recovery also reduces the amount of electricity used for a cooling tower.
